About Me

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome to my platform! My name is Morgan Estep and I'm so happy you're here!

I graduated from James Madison University (go Dukes!) back in May of 2023 with my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Intelligence Analysis and a minor in Entrepreneurship. I grew up in a small town in Connecticut so New England will always hold a place in my heart! 

Starting my own business is something I've always wanted to do as entrepreneurship is, and always has been, in my blood. My mother was an entrepreneur for the 20+ years she and my father were raising my sister and I. As a child, I would create the "typical" lemonade stand and sell handcrafted duck tape wallets, ties, belts, and keychains to classmates. The COVID-19 pandemic hit during the spring semester of my freshman year of college, and we were all sent home to finish off classes remotely. During that time at home, I started a business creating college themes for computer and phone backgrounds.  I enjoy using the creative side of my brain as well as the analytical side.

I decided to start The Virtual RA to help fellow college students reach their full potential. The Virtual RA’s mission (and business motto) is “teaching self-sufficiency, " which speaks volumes to my generation and those younger than me. My parents always raised my sister and I as young adults instead of children. They were always transparent with us on all “adult topics”. We were educated on how much a house costs, how much groceries are, how mortgages and loans work, how to hold yourself in a room full of adults, how to present yourself to others, etc. Growing up, I realized how unique that approach to parenting was. As I navigate life's journey and gain insights as I get older, I'm eager to share my experiences and knowledge with others of my age and younger, extending a friendly hand of guidance. Thus, creating the idea of curating ebooks for college students and offering personal coaching & mentoring!

Some fun facts about me:

- My hobbies and interests include travel, cars, F1, fashion, sports, real estate, interior design, weightlifting, kickboxing, reading, art, and much more! 

- I am a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo! 

- I've always been an athlete at heart. Throughout my adolescence, I played field hockey, ran for indoor and outdoor track and field, and also competed in ski racing and Taekwondo. I have been dedicated to my health and fitness journey for the past 4 years. I consider myself a hybrid trainer as I enjoy weightlifting and enjoy other forms of cardio (HIIT, rowing, and running). 

- For 10 consecutive summers, I spent anywhere between 4-8 weeks at an international, all-girls sleepover camp. I am a firm believer that experience helped shape me into who I am today. At a very young age, I was exposed to cultures from all over the world, different personality types, living away from home, creating connections and lasting friendships, and learning how to become self-sufficient. It is a time in my life I will cherish forever.

- Regarding TV shows and movies, I enjoy both nonfiction and fiction within the genres of thriller/suspense, drama, and horror, and we all love a good Rom-Com. Typically what catches my eye are action-packed, power-hungry, “leave me on the edge of my seat” type shows. My favorite shows are Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon, Suits, Succession, Vampire Diaries, How to Get Away With Murder, Reacher, and House of Cards. 

I'm incredibly passionate about the work I'm doing at "The Virtual RA", and I can't wait to see the positive impact it will have on your students' lives! If you have a student who struggles with goal-setting, time management, or academics or does not know their next step… allow me to lend a helping hand!
